Q1. What is Kabaddi a game of ....?
Most popular team game of South Asia, and a popular rural sports of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Played by both sex within a rectangular field cross over a centerline to the other side, holding the breath and chanting the "Kabaddi" or any other word and try to touch one or more of the players, without being caught and come back to his side of the field.

Rectangular field - 12.5 mtrs x 10 mtrs divided into two halves.

Seven each side. (Plus 5 reserves).

Total 40 minutes - 20 minutes x 2 halves with a break of 5 minutes.
Q5. How the game of Kabaddi is played?
A player called a "Raider" holding the breath and chanting "Kabaddi" (or any other chant)  continuously, goes into the opposite court and try to touch one or more players and return to his home side without being caught. Such person/s touched by a raider (who returned safely to his home side) is/are considered "out" and will be sent out of the field. On the defending side, the team try to catch or capture the raider and hold him until he/she holds out breath and takes a second breath. While being caught, the raider makes efforts to touch the center line or cross over to his/her side. Failing so, he/she will be sent out as "out". The raider or the defending team succeeding, a point is awarded to the team concerned. In the process, if a player goes out of the boundary line is also considered out and the opposite gets the point. A team also gets two bonus points if they succeed in getting the entire team declared "Out". Points thus earned, at the end of the scheduled time, the team leading the tally, at the end, is considered to have won the game. There will be seven officials managing the game, with one chief, one scorer, and other on the lines, and one time keeper.
